About Us

Overview

Legacy Volleyball Club is a non-profit youth empowerment organization established to promote the sport of Volleyball to young athletes. We provide year-round Volleyball training and youth programs, which help youth achieve their athletic, social and academic goals.

Every year we offer various programs in underserved communities exposing youth to new experiences, including national travel, competitive play and collegiate exposure.

During the school year, LVC participants compete in club play in association with USA and AAU Volleyball. At the conclusion of the club Volleyball season, youth will be invited to continue their Volleyball education by participating in weekly club matches and activities.

It is our belief that LVC youth will have the confidence to pursue higher education and succeed at the collegiate Volleyball level.

Legacy Volleyball Club VBC, Inc. was formed under Section 402 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law of the State of New York. We are also a recognized Public Charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Mission & Vision

The Legacy Volleyball Club's mission is to provide a wealth of dynamic programs and services to youth and families which empower them to attain their athletic, social and educational goals.  The Legacy Volleyball Club's vision is a community where all youth have the self-confidence, knowledge and skill set to live positive and inspiring lives with the help of volleyball.

We will offer a variety of volleyball based activities that are typically unavailable in the communities served in order to increase exposure to new experiences, not only for young people, but for adults as well. All activities relate to the Legacy core competencies, which are: Athletic development, life skills and academic achievement. These activities are increasingly challenging and rewarding so as to empower youth and families to attain their athletic, social and educational goals. It is our hope that by aligning each and every one of our activities to our core competencies all youth will have the self-confidence, knowledge and skills set to live positive and inspiring lives.

We currently have the following goals that the Legacy Volleyball Club will work toward accomplishing in the communities:

 1)  Develop critical/independent thinking skills and increase social, emotional and physical health

 2)  Develop basic college-readiness skills that form a foundation for success in attending the school of choice.

 3)  Strengthen academic and literacy skills, further strengthening participants engagement in continuous education.
