Club (Girls)

17s National

Club Volleyball Information (Girls)

Club Volleyball is an opportunity for girls ages 8 – 18 of varying abilities to develop their skills through practice and competition while also furthering their social and academic development. Legacy Volleyball Club is sanctioned through USA Volleyball, the Garden State Volleyball Association Region and AAU Volleyball. Training typically starts in November and concludes the first weekend in May with the GEVA Regional Tournament for most teams. Qualifying teams may play at the national competition in June/July.

Legacy Volleyball Club’s coaching staffs are all IMPACT or CAP certified and they have the experience and knowledge to challenge athletes in a fun, competitive environment.  Our coaches each share the common goal of genuinely helping each and every athlete reach their full potential during their club volleyball tenure with Legacy. The coaching experience within the Legacy staffs ranges from Middle School, High School, NCAA College Coaches, and players who compete nationally and internationally.

Legacy Volleyball Club has created a club volleyball experience that works for the community we serve. We feature four (4) types of club experiences.

LOCAL: allows student – athletes to compete locally in a less competitive atmosphere.  Season will run from December through March.  Local teams will compete in 2 tournaments. This is ideal for student - athletes who just want to try it out or want to have fun.

REGIONAL: is designed for student - athletes who can commit to practicing twice a week and compete in local tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) tournaments.  Season will run from December through April/May.   Season will conclude with the GEVA Regional tournament.   Regional teams will compete in 3 GEVA tournaments and 1 regional tournament for a total of 4 tournaments.  This is ideal for student – athletes who:

  • Currently play club or want to play club competitively
  • Currently play or expect to play on their school team

*Regional tournament is dependent upon team qualification.

PREMIER: is designed for highly skilled players wishing to further their abilities by practicing two (2) times per week in addition to high end, overnight tournaments held throughout the east coast of the United States.  Season will run from December through April/May. Season will conclude with the GEVA Regional tournament. Premier teams will compete in 3 GEVA tournaments, 3 USAV sanctioned away tournaments and 1 regional tournament for a total of 7 tournaments. This is ideal for student – athletes who:

  • Currently play or expect to play on their high school varsity team
  • Desire to compete against the top players in GEVA/ USAV
  • Believe that fun is defined by constant improvement and desire to be part of a team
  • Aspire to play collegiate volleyball

NATIONAL: is our highest level of commitment and training to prepare student - athletes who want to play at the next level in high school or college.   Season will run from December through mid August.  Club Season will conclude with the Happy Volley tournament at Penn State or the AAU National tournament or the Girls Junior National Championship tournament.   National teams will compete in 3 GEVA tournaments, 4 USAV/AAU away tournaments and 1 regional tournament for a total of 8 tournaments.   Additionally, the National dues include VolleyMentals (May - July), and Pre-Season Training (August). This is ideal for student – athletes who:

  • Want to become an impactful high school player and elite athlete with the desire to take your game to the next level
  • Desire to compete against the top players in the country
  • Believe that fun is defined by competitive greatness
  • Without a doubt wishes to compete in college, specifically Division 1 or 2

**May receive a bid into the Girls Junior National Championship Tournament held in June/July.

Also, we offer a Practice Player position which allows any student – athletes to train with any team without the commitment and pressure to compete in tournaments.

To participate in any of the four (4) experiences, each student - athlete is required to try out for a team. During tryouts, the student - athletes will be evaluated and placed on a team based on their skill level, potential, and attitude.  At the conclusion of the tryouts, a Legacy representative will contact the student - athlete’s family with an offer to participate on a team, along with any additional information that may be required.
